How To Clean Pee Hole On Opti 250xs

1. Optimax overheat alert

   2009 optimax 225 pro xs is giving me an overheat alarm. I have smart craft tach. Gauge is reading 130 or less and h2o psi at idle is 5. 14 psi at 4500 rpm. As soon as I close off engine and turn central back on alert stops. I can run a minute or two and alarm comes back on. I did compression test and all half dozen are good. Whatever ideas? I checked temp sensor and all 3 seem to exist in normal range.

2. I'd bank check to make sure the pee hole out of the compressor is not plugged. If you get a stone or crush in the plastic fitting where it discharges from the cowl it can block the flow out of the air compressor and cause a compressor overheat fault.

   Is your gauge telling you that you have an overheat fault? If you are assuming the horn is an overheat and there is no compressor blockage, I'd cheque oil levels and sensors on your oil tanks. Boat tank and engine tank. A low oil level fault will audio the horn as well.

6. All the opti's take a water filter for the compressor.....

7. At that place is a temp sensor in the compressor. I have seen the compressor overheat volition the engine temp says its normal. Had a shell in the compressor cooling hose.
