Steve Jobs' 1973 Job Application Up for Auction
Over the years, memorabilia from Apple's early on days has fetched big money at auction, similar the Apple-one that sold for $815,000 in 2022. Now, a new piece of tech history is on the auction block: a chore application filled out and signed by an 18 twelvemonth-former Steve Jobs in 1973.
According to RR Auction, the application from Apple'southward belatedly co-founder could sell for around $50,000. On the one page, 8.five ten 11-inch document, Jobs filled out his name: "Steven jobs," address: "reed college," phone: "none," and major: "english lit," but left the "past employment" department completely bare.
Equally for whether he had a driver'south license, Jobs wrote "yes," but noted that it's "possible, just not probable" that he would take access to transportation.
On the application, Jobs indicated he was skilled at computers and calculators, including "design, tech." Nether "special abilities," he wrote: "electronics tech or design engineer. digital.—from Bay most Hewitt-Packard [sic]."
RR Auction noted that the application is "in very adept status, with intersecting folds, overall creasing, light staining, and some old clear tape to the summit edge."
